Series 1: C_Spec

Series 1: C_Spec

from £195.00

The C_Spec is a blade which was designed in collaboration with oceanographers. The brief was to able to dive alongside large marine animals with photography equipment, and be able to move easily towards them or away from them while filming or taking photos. Longer blades make it difficult to turn and accelerate quickly in the open ocean with larger marine animals in close quarters. Which is what the C stands for, “CLOSE”. The idea is to allow you as a Freediver to get close to marine life and to enjoy their presence underwater. And these blades really allow you to do so.

It is based very closely on the B_Spec, with regards to its internal architecture. Its made using Pre-Preg Carbon Fibres. The difference between that of the B_Spec and C_Spec is that it is 10cm shorter and has two flex options available which is Soft and Soft+. But the C_Spec is very adept for general freediving and pool work and will give you everything you need in your day to day training in freediving. But really its best place is close to large marine life like Orcas, sharks and whales taking photos or filming them.

Soft: The Soft flex is similar to stiffness in our B_Spec, is designed to have a more spring in it to be able to maneuver quickly and easily. But also has enough power to lift you from 30m with camera equipment.

Soft+: Soft+ is the same as Soft except it has an extra layer of T700 carbon fibre layer in the upper part of the blade to give you a bit more punch it need to lift heavier equipment or move faster underwater.

All the flexes will propel the diver from great depth, the best to choose is how strong and how wide your kick is, and how quickly your legs tire. Inorder to load our blades with the correct amount of energy you have you flex the blade to the inflection point to get the response. Stronger legs will be able to better suited to the soft, but if you kick slowly but have strong legs Super Soft would better suited. Any questions regarding our flexes please contact and we can advise.
